My best vacation: Cuba

Hi, in this week's blog I will talk about my best vacation.

This was before the pandemic (when we were all happy haha), we had a hard time deciding the destination, because it would be the last family vacation before my brother and I went to college (in the end I took a year off so it wasn't like that lol). After discussing it with my parents and my older brother for several months, we came to the agreement to travel to Cuba for 10 days, the first days of March 2019.

We went to a hotel in Varadero where we were treated very well and met a lot of Chilean families. The week, although most of the time was spent at the hotel, we also went to Havana and Cayo Blanco. The thing I loved most about going to Cuba was having the opportunity to visit Havana and see the Plaza de la Revolución, as well as the political and social history of the city.

Here are some pictures of the trip!

I hope you enjoyed my blog, I will be reading your comments!

Changes to my study program

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well! Today I will talk about some changes I would make to the curriculum of my major: Political Science. To start with, I want to talk about the University. I study at the University of Chile, known throughout the country for its tradition and prestige, which entails a heavy workload for students of all majors. Regarding Political Science, although I really enjoy what I study, it is true that sometimes the academic load is quite big: it requires a lot of reading, critical analysis and knowing a little bit of everything. However, the design of the curriculum is pretty good, all semesters have a correlation between them, which makes learning continuous and comprehensive. I would only change the regulation of the work load. Until this year I did not know the School of Government and Public Administration (which is where my major is taught). When I met it, I found it to be very welcoming, but also very small. However, I would not change anything about ...

Why I want go to France

Hello, welcome to my new blog! Today I'm going to talk about a country I want to visit. I remember when I was little, I always told my family that I wanted to be a famous artist, so my parents told me that the best place to make my dream come true was to go to France and study art. Since then, I really want to visit Paris and make my inside kid happy (because, even though I don't study art now, I still love art and it's an important part of me). About France, I know that it is located in Europe and it is the cradle of contemporary art, and it is also very famous for its museums and beautiful architecture. The capital of France is Paris, known by everyone as "the city of love", because of the romantic atmosphere.  If I go there someday, I would like to go through Paris, visit the Louvre Museum and maybe go to eat a fancy meal to taste French wine (even when we all know that the best wine is Chilean lol). Another thing I would like to do there is to study at Scienc...

My future job

Hi everyone! today i will talk about my future job! A s a start, I would like to have a job where I can do research, especially on topics related to human rights, gender and sexual diversity. I see myself in an international organization, but near my old age I would like to be a professor at a University. This is because research will demand that I move to many different places, while academic work will give me the stability I will need when I get older.  Because of the working conditions, this would be mostly in an office, but I think it is always important to go outdoors to learn at first hand about the problems that I will try to solve. In this context, I also consider that I will have to travel a lot, which is an idea that I really like. One of the big reasons that I chose this future is because of the possibility of getting to know new cultures, as well as the chance to continue to improve myself as a professional. As for the salary, I will be satisfied if it is enough to live...
