My future job

Hi everyone! today i will talk about my future job!

As a start, I would like to have a job where I can do research, especially on topics related to human rights, gender and sexual diversity. I see myself in an international organization, but near my old age I would like to be a professor at a University. This is because research will demand that I move to many different places, while academic work will give me the stability I will need when I get older.

Because of the working conditions, this would be mostly in an office, but I think it is always important to go outdoors to learn at first hand about the problems that I will try to solve. In this context, I also consider that I will have to travel a lot, which is an idea that I really like. One of the big reasons that I chose this future is because of the possibility of getting to know new cultures, as well as the chance to continue to improve myself as a professional.

As for the salary, I will be satisfied if it is enough to live on, as well as to be able to pay for anything else I feel or want to do at the time, like hanging out with my friends or going on vacations.

Fortunately, my major (Political Science) gives me the possibility to do all that, if I work hard and study enough. It is very probably that I will have to do a master's degree in the future in order to achieve my goals.

I hope you liked my blog, see you later!

My best vacation: Cuba

Hi, in this week's blog I will talk about my best vacation.   This was before the pandemic (when we were all happy haha), we had a hard time deciding the destination, because it would be the last family vacation before my brother and I went to college (in the end I took a year off so it wasn't like that lol).  After discussing it with my parents and my older brother for several months, we came to the agreement to travel to Cuba for 10 days, the first days of March 2019.  We went to a hotel in Varadero where we were treated very well and met a lot of Chilean families. The week, although most of the time was spent at the hotel, we also went to Havana and Cayo Blanco.  The thing I loved most about going to Cuba was having the opportunity to visit Havana and see the Plaza de la Revolución, as well as the political and social history of the city.  Here are some pictures of the trip! I hope you enjoyed my blog, I will be reading your comments!

Changes to my study program

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well! Today I will talk about some changes I would make to the curriculum of my major: Political Science. To start with, I want to talk about the University. I study at the University of Chile, known throughout the country for its tradition and prestige, which entails a heavy workload for students of all majors. Regarding Political Science, although I really enjoy what I study, it is true that sometimes the academic load is quite big: it requires a lot of reading, critical analysis and knowing a little bit of everything. However, the design of the curriculum is pretty good, all semesters have a correlation between them, which makes learning continuous and comprehensive. I would only change the regulation of the work load. Until this year I did not know the School of Government and Public Administration (which is where my major is taught). When I met it, I found it to be very welcoming, but also very small. However, I would not change anything about ...

Time travel to the future

Hello everyone, today I will talk about what my hypothetical trip to the future would be like! I would like to visit Chile, because although I have plans to do things in other countries, in Chile is all my family and my roots. I am especially interested in knowing what will happen in ten more years, because scientists say that at that time (2030) is the limit to stop the consequences of climate change, so I am very curious to know if we will achieve it or not.   About Chile, I would love to be able to see if the dreams and hopes we have now are a reality, when a couple of years of the New Constitution have passed. I hope to finally see a Chile without unfairness, with protection of human rights and, most importantly, with opportunities for all. I wouldn't like to stay there, I just want to take a look at it. This is because I understand that I must forge my own way and I don't want to skip any of the experiences that will take me there. Also because, whether good or bad w...
